Doctrinal Statement

1.         We believe the Holy Scriptures, composed of the thirty-nine books of the Old Testament and the twenty-seven books of the New Testament, are the verbally inspired Word and Revelation of God. The Bible is inerrant, infallible, God-breathed. The initial miracle of divine inspiration of the original autographs also extends to the divine preservation of a pure text to this day. Therefore, we have the very Word of God in the English language preserved in the King James Bible, which is derived from the Hebrew Masoretic Text and the Greek Textus Receptus. We stand firmly as a King James only church.  Scripture References: Psalm 19:7-11; II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:16-21; Luke 24:13-28; John 16:12-16; Psalm 12:6-7; Isaiah 40:8; Psalm 138

2.         We believe that there is one God, the source, support, and end of all things, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Scripture References: Genesis 1:1; Genesis 17:1; Exodus 3:14; Exodus 6:3; Exodus 20:2-3; 15:11; Psalm 83:18; Psalm 90:2; Psalm147:5; Jeremiah 10:10; Matthew 16:16; Matthew 28:19; Mark 1:1; Mark 12:30; John 4:24; 10:30; John 15:26; John 17:5; Acts 5:3-4; Romans 11:23; I Corinthians 12:10-11; I Corinthians 8:6; I Corinthians 12:4-6; II Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 2:18; Ephesians 4:6; Philippians 2:5-6; II Timothy 1:17; I John 5:7-8; Revelation 4:1

3.         We believe in the Genesis account of creation. Scripture References: Genesis 1

4.         We believe that Satan is a fallen angel, the archenemy of God and man, the unholy god of this world, and that his destiny is the eternal lake of fire. Scripture References: Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:11-19; Matt. 25:41; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 6:10-17; Revelation 20:10

 5.       We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, that he was supernaturally begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and that he is completely God and man at the same time. That he is the only begotten son of God; Therefore the Lord Jesus Christ is the sinless, omnipotent, omniscient, Saviour of sinners, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Scripture References: Matthews 1:20-21; Luke1:35-36; Luke 2:10-11; John 1:14; John 3:16&18; I John 4:9

6.         We believe in the eternal Deity and personality of the Holy Spirit who is one of the three Persons of the Trinity. We believe the following are among His ministries: the restraining of evil in the world to the measure of the divine will; the conviction of the world regarding sin, righteousness, and judgment; the calling and regeneration of all believers; the indwelling of those who are saved; and, the continued filling for power, teaching, and service of all among the saved who are truly yielded to Him; and the divine administrator for Jesus Christ in His churches. Scripture References: Romans 8:28, 29; I Corinthians 1:24; II Thessalonians 2:7; John 3:6; John 16:7-11; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18; Hebrews 1:8-9

7.         We believe that the miraculous spiritual manifestation (sign) gifts were done away with when the Bible was completed. Faith, Hope, and Charity are the vital and only abiding spiritual gifts. Scripture References: I Corinthians 12-13; Psalm 138:2

8.         We believe that man was created in the image of God and lived in innocence until he fell by voluntary transgression from his sinless state. The result being that all mankind are now sinners. Scriptural References: Genesis 1:26; Genesis 3:6-24; Romans 5:12 & 19

9.         We believe that the suffering and death of Jesus Christ was substitutionary, sufficient, and efficient for all mankind and reject the false teachings of Calvinism and the Armenians Scriptural References: Isaiah 53:6; Hebrews 2:9; 1 Peter 3:9; 1 John 2:2

10.       We believe that the depraved sinner is saved wholly by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and the requisites to regeneration are repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and that the Holy Spirit convicts sinners, regenerates, seals, secures and indwells every believer Scriptural References: Luke 13:3-5; John 3:16-18; Acts 20-21; Rom. 6-23; Eph. 2:8,9; John 3:6; John 16:8,9; Rom. 8:9-11; 1 Cor. 6:19, 20; Eph 4:30; Titus 3:5

11.       We believe that Jesus Christ established His church during His ministry on earth and that it is always a local, visible assembly of scripturally baptized believers in covenant relationship to carry out the Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ, and each church is an independent, self-governing body, and no other ecclesiastical body may exercise authority over it.  We believe that Jesus Christ gave the Great Commission to the New Testament Churches only, and that He promised the perpetuity of His churches Scriptural References: Matt. 4:18-22; Matt. 16:18; Matt 28:19-20; Mark 1:14-20; John 1:35-51; Eph. 3:21.

12.       We believe that there are two pictorial ordinances in the Lord’s churches: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.  Scriptural baptism is the immersion of penitent believers in water, administered by the authority of a New Testament church in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  The Lord’s Supper is a memorial ordinance, restricted to the members of the church observing the ordinance Scriptural References: Matt. 28:19, 20; Acts 8:12, 38; Rom. 6:4; 1 Cor. 5:11-13; 1 Cor. 11:1, 2 17-20, 26

13.       We believe in the premillennial, personal, bodily return of Christ as the crowning event of the Gentile age.  This event will include the resurrection of the righteous to eternal heaven, and the Millennium will be followed by the resurrection of the unrighteous unto eternal punishment in the lake of fire and that the righteous shall enter into the heaven age Scriptural References: John 14:1-6; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 2 Thess. 2:8; Rev. 19; Rev. 20:4-6 Rev. 20:11-15 Rev. 21:8.
